The Planning Stage: Dates confirmed… check…flight booked…check…stopover Hotel in Abu Dhabi…check…enough passport pages…check…preparation supplements started…check…Fundraising…in process. Over the past 2 weeks I’ve been able to talk to some IMT students in Bloomfield about the upcoming trip and get a display with scarves for sale in the Institute of IMT reception area. Thank goodness those scarves are finally serving their purpose after their eventful trip back to the U.S.! I’ve also got an appeal up on my Facebook page. People have been very excited about our trip and very generous in helping to support. And it has been fun starting to get some excitement around our initiative. It also looks like at least a few of us will also be spending some “hands on” time with Joining Hands Nepal as well, the Nepali partner of a nonprofit board I sit on in the U.S. that has established a children’s home near Kathmandu. Gosh, I’m excited about the whole trip but I can’t think of a better way to end it than spending time with the kids at the orphanage, treating them with IMT as well. I feel so incredibly blessed to be a part of this trip. Later this week, Laura and I will be heading to Winter School in LA, where we’ll get a chance to talk about the trip again to that group. Stay tuned for updates. And thanks for following our blog!
